Quanto tempo! Long time no see! outubro 4, 2009

Nem acredito que já se passaram dois meses desde meu último blog!  Quanto tempo!!  Tantos acontecimentos, tantos pensamentos, e eu sem tempo de escrever.  Quanto mais tempo passa, mais eu tenho para registrar; quanto mais tenho para escrever, mais tempo preciso; assim acabo não escrevendo nada.  Nem sei se vou conseguir falar de tudo que aconteceu, mas pelo menos um pouquinho eu vou poder contar.
Vamos começar com os nenéns que estão para chegar, e os que já chegaram.   Renata de Nova Yorque está gravida para Outubro e é uma menina, Sophia!!!   A Rê segurou o Nicholas no sling no Natal do ano passado, ela se apaixonou por ele.  Ficou tão inspirada que engravidou logo depois e espera a Sophia no mesmo dia do Nick, 14 de Outubro!!  Que demais!  Cindy é outra que ficou inspirada a ter outro neném ( agora menina, eles já têm um menino, Logan) ao segurar o Nicholas.  O marido dela me culpa até hoje!  A Madison, outra menina, está para chegar em Novembro.  Ainda outra menina de Novembro é a terceira filha da Amy, prima do Chris.  Depois de dois meninos super ativos vai vir está menina, não é demais!!  Paulinha não resistiu a onda de mulher grávida e já encomendou o segundo.  Essa é maluca mesmo, o Marco acabou de fazer 1 aninho!!  Mas é para isso que existem as amigas.  E a notícia que toca meu coração: Minha IRMÃ está grávida!!!!!!!!  Que demais!! Sis, tô super feliz por vocês! Te amo! 
Ah, não posso esquecer, bem vindo ao Marcos, filho de Luciana e Jason, irmão do Nico!!!  Pensei que ele fosse chegar em outubro, mas chegou ainda em setembro.  Seja bem vindo ao nosso mundo, muita saúde, amor e felicidade!!

 

I can’t believe two months went by since my last blog.  Long time no see!  So many things have happened, so many thoughts, and no time to write.  The more time goes by, the more I have to register; the more I have to register, the more time I need to get it done; with this, I end up not writing anything down.  I don’t even know if I’ll be able to talk about everything that happened, but at least I’ll update you all on a little bit.
I want to start with babies.  Renata from New York is expecting a girl for October, Sophia.  Rê held Nick in the sling at Christmas and she fell in love with him.  She was so inspired that conceived soon after and Sophia is due on Nick’s birthday, October 14!!  Super!!  Cindy is another friend who was inspired to have her second child (a girl this time, they already have a boy, Logan) after she held Nicholas. Her husband says I’m to blame!  I’m proud my son was the inspirationJ!  Madison is her name and she’s due November.  Another baby girl due November is Amy’s (Chris’s cousin) third child. After two super active boys, they will have a girl in the house.  Isn’t this just awesome!! Paulinha couldn’t resist this pregnancy-in-the-air bug and already worked on the second.  This girl is definitely crazy, Marco just turned 1 year-old.  I guess that’s what friends are here for, right?  Now for the news that touches my heart: my SISTER is pregnant!!!!! Just so great!! Sis, I’m sooo happy for you guys!  I love you!!
Ah, I can’t forget to welcome Marcos, son of Luciana and Jason, brother to Nico (Nicholas)!! I thought he was due October but he arrived in September.  Welcome to this world, may you be blessed with health, love and happiness!!

Parabéns para duas amigas brasileiras incríveis que moram nos Estados Unidos. Môniquinha anunciou hoje que está grávida de uma MENINA!!! E a Lu de Dallas acabou de nos comunicar que espera mais um MENINO!!! Ai gente, que delícia de notícia! Que coisa gostosa saber o sexo desses bebês que estão para chegar. Que coisa boa ESTAR grávida, saber que tem uma vidinha dentro de você, crescendo, se desenvolvendo, formando os dedinhos, os orgãos, o coração batendo… É tanta emoção que dá até vontade de engravidar novamente. Acho que depois que agente tem um filho, agente acredita em milagres pois a gravidez é um milagre.
Amigas, MUITAS FELICIDADES!!!!! Que essas duas alminhas cheguem aqui com muita saúde. Que tragam paz, amor e felicidade para suas famílias!

Congratulations to two awesome girl friends who live in the States.  Moniquinha anounced today she is pregnant with a GIRL!!!  And Lu from Dallas has just posted she is expecting another BOY!!!  Guys, this is such good news!  It’s so fun to know the sex of these babies that are arriving.  It’s great to BE pregnant, to know that there’s a little life inside you, growing, developing, forming those little fingers, the organs, the tiny heart already beating… It’s so emotional that I feel like getting pregnant again.  I think that after we have a child, we definetely believe in miracles seeing that pregnancy is a miracle.
Girlfriends, LOTS OF HAPPINESS!!!!! May these two little souls arrive in this world full of health.  May they bring peace, love and happiness to both families!

De volta à realidade / Back to reality março 30, 2009

Nessa 1 semana que tiramos de férias (Spring Break) com todas as crianças conseguimos relaxar.  Mesmo na correria com 7 pessoas em um apartamento, não tínhamos horário certo para acordar, não tínhamos obrigações de trabalho nem de casa. Foi bem mais tranquilo do que o dia-a-dia.
Meu menino Nicholas fez questão de me lembrar da realidade logo na segunda noite depois do retorno. Não dormiu direito e acordou a cada 2 horas. No dia seguinte todos acordamos cedo para trabalhar, lavar roupas, louças, arrumar a casa, supermercado, pagar contas, marcar médico… estou exausta novamente!
Agora Phoenix parece um sonho, mas lembranças foram feitas e isso agente leva para sempre. Estamos com saudades do Tucker e da Piper. Pena que moram longe de nós… Estamos com saudades da Gláucia. Não sei como teria sido sem a ajuda dela. Não sei como estou conseguindo sem tê-la aqui agora! Valeu pela ajuda amiga!!

 

My boy Nicholas brought me back to reality on the second night after our return home. He didn’t sleep well and woke up every 2 hours. Next morning we all had to wake up early to work, do laudry, breakfast, dishes, clean the house, do groceries, pay bills, schedule doctor appt… I’m back to being exausted!

Now Phoenix seems like a dream, but memories were made and we’ll have them forever. We miss Tucker and Piper. Wish they lived closer… We miss Gláucia. I don’t know what we would have done without her. I don’t know how I’m managing now. Thanks for all your help, girlfriend!

 

During this 1 week of Spring Break with the kids we were able to relax. Even amidst the confusion of 7 individuals in one apartment, we didn’t really have a time to get up nor obligation towards work or home. It was more relaxed than our daily life.

Tanta coisa já aconteceu…/So many things have happened… junho 28, 2008

Fiquei sem tempo para escrever esse mês, mas não é como se vocês estivessem deixando um monte de comentários.  Então nem me preocupei em escrever.  Entre gravidez, trabalho, crianças, festas e eventos, mal tenho tido tempo de fazer exercício.  Meus hormônios estão me deixando louca, além de chata, sensível, paranóica e irritada. 

Tenho que falar que meu marido é um anjo por ainda estar morando na mesma casa.  Ainda por cima foi criativo no meu aniversário, deixou vários cartões espalhados pela casa, e cada cartão continha dinheiro !!  Além disso me chamou para jantar e fui supreendida por um casal de amigos que foram jantar conosco.  Ah, sem esquecer que dessa vez foi ele quem me animou para fazer um churrasco, que por sinal foi muito legal.  Valeu Love!!!  Te amo!

I haven’t had time to write on the blog this month, but it’s not like you leave a lot of comments on the entries.  So I decided not even to worry about it.  Between the pregnancy, work, kids, parties and events, I have barelly had time to exercise.  My hormones are driving me nuts besides anoying, sensitive, paranoic and irritated.

I must say my husband is an angel for living in the same house as me.  He was also very creative on my birthday, leaving several birthday cards around the house with money in them !!  Even more, he invited me to dinner and surprised me inviting a couple, friend of ours, to dine with us.  And I can’t forget to mention that this time he was the one who got me planning my birthday barbecue, which was great.  Thanks, Love!!! I love you!
