Como se a vida sem empregada com duas crianças não fosse o suficiente, eu voltei ao trabalho. Bem, é só meio expediente e me faz sentir útil de alguma forma. (Não vamos analizar o quão disfuncional eu sou por não me sentir útil sendo mãe e cuidadando de casa. Acho que quando agente está acostumada a trabalhar fora, é difícil mudar a mente totalmente.) O bom do meu trabalho (agente imobiliário) é que posso fazer muitas das coisas diretamente de casa, no computador. Também não me prendo o dia todo e nem todos os dias da semana. Consigo curtir as crianças. O divertido mesmo é que quando tenho que trabalhar no final do dia ou no fim de semana, o Chris fica com as crianças. Isso sempre é interessante pois nunca sei o que vou encontrar quando chegar em casa. Até que, fora uma cozinha bem bagunçada, todos estão alimentados e de banho tomado (Nati, neste caso) e prontos para cama. Assim sendo, continuarei trabalhando. Só falta entrar alguma grana, né! Também não trabalho só por prazer. O prazer também vem com a recompensa.
As if life with two kids without a maid/nanny isn’t enough, I’m back at work. Actually, it’s only part time and makes me feel useful in a certain way. (Let’s not analise how disfunctional I am for not feeling useful being a full time mom and housewife. I guess when we’re used to working, it’s hard to change the mind frame completely.) The good side of my job (Realtor) is that I can do lots of things directly from home, at my computer. Also, I’m not busy the whole nor the whole week. I get to enjoy the kids.The amusing part is that when I work in the evenings or weekends, Chris takes care of the kids. This is always interesting because I never know what I’ll come home to. So far, besides a very messy kitchen, everybody is fed, bathed (Nati, in this case) and ready for bed. Thus, I’ll keep working on my part time job. All I need now is the money. After all, I don’t work only for pleasure. Pleasure also comes from getting payed.
